The Man
C. W. "Charlie" Hobbs was born in 1889 near Elizabethtown, KY.
About 1912, he moved his young family to Aledo, IL, where he became well known as a talented left handed fiddle player,
playing for barn dances, festivals and contests around western Illinois and eastern Iowa.
Charlie's descendants can be seen (and of course heard) performing
in parts of Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, Arizona, and Georgia, among others.
